FLORIAN POSER is considered to be one of the most interesting and renowned vibraphonists in Germany

He studied with most of the leading vibraphonists of the presence like WOLFGANG SCHLÜTER, TOM VAN DER GELD, DAVID FRIEDMAN, DAVID SAMUELS and finally GARY BURTON.

FLORIAN POSER has built up a reputation through concerts, festival appearances and tours with the following bands an musicians:

He has participated in several radio and TV productions at most of the major German broadcasting stations.

His musical activities have been honoured with various awards. In 1985 he won the renowned ERNST-FISCHER-PREIS as well as the OLDENBURGER KOMPOSITIONSWETTBEWERB with his composition »St. MOUNTAIN - Concertino for vibraphone and orchestra«.

He has received tour support from »Jazzpodium Niedersachsen« four times and was twice awarded a state scholarship from the German state of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony).

With his jazz compositions he has been nominated twice for the noted »Concours International de Composition de Themes de Jazz« (Monaco).
